LinkedIn is a powerful channel for B2B outreach, and Eve automates connection requests, messages, and InMails while respecting platform best practices.
You can connect your LinkedIn sending account in two locations:
Option 1: Through Integrations Tab
Navigate to Integrations from the left-hand menu
Select "Connect LinkedIn Sending Account"
Follow the authentication prompts to authorize Eve
Confirm successful connection
Option 2: During Campaign Creation
When creating a new campaign, you'll reach the channel selection step
If you select LinkedIn or Multi-channel (LinkedIn + Email) and don't have a LinkedIn account connected, you'll see a prompt to connect
Click "Connect LinkedIn Account"
Complete the authentication process
Continue with your campaign setup
Both methods connect your account to Eve in the same way—the campaign flow simply offers a convenient shortcut if you haven't connected yet.
An active LinkedIn account (Premium is optional but not required)
LinkedIn login credentials
Willingness to authorize Eve to send messages on your behalf
When you connect your LinkedIn account, Eve will:
Request permission to access your LinkedIn profile
Gain ability to send connection requests on your behalf
Gain ability to send messages to your 1st-degree connections
Gain ability to send InMails (if you have Premium with InMail credits)
Important Notes:
You do NOT need a LinkedIn Premium account to use Eve's LinkedIn automation
Eve leads with connection requests before sending messages, which means free LinkedIn accounts can fully utilize this functionality
If you have Premium with InMail credits, you can also send InMails through Eve to prospects who haven't accepted your connection request
Eve will NOT:
Post content to your LinkedIn feed
Comment on posts or articles
Like or share content
Endorse skills or write recommendations
Change your profile information
Join or leave groups
Follow or unfollow people outside of campaign sequences
Your LinkedIn profile and activity remain completely under your control except for the specific campaign messages Eve sends.
Q: Do I really not need LinkedIn Premium to use Eve's LinkedIn automation? A: Correct. You do not need LinkedIn Premium. Eve's strategy leads with connection requests, which are available on free LinkedIn accounts. Once someone accepts your connection request, you can send them messages as a first-degree connection, which is also available on free accounts. Premium is only required if you want to send InMails to people who haven't accepted your connection request.
Q: Is it safe to connect my LinkedIn account to Eve? A: Yes, when used according to best practices. Eve's default sending limits (20 connection requests per day, 30 messages per day) are conservative and designed to mimic natural human behavior. These limits specifically protect your account from LinkedIn's automation detection. However, LinkedIn automation always carries some inherent risk, so we recommend:
Using a professional account you control
Monitoring account health regularly
Starting with default limits before increasing
Following LinkedIn's terms of service
Q: What's the difference between connecting during campaign creation vs. in the Integrations tab? A: There's no functional difference—both methods connect your account to Eve in exactly the same way. Connecting during campaign creation is simply a convenience feature that saves you a step. Some users prefer to set up all integrations first in the Integrations tab, while others connect accounts as needed when creating campaigns. Choose whichever workflow suits you.
Q: Can I connect multiple LinkedIn accounts? A: Yes, you can connect multiple LinkedIn accounts to distribute sending volume or segment campaigns by team members. Each connected account has its own daily limits, so connecting multiple accounts allows you to scale your outreach while maintaining safety for each individual account. This is particularly useful for sales teams where each rep wants to send from their own profile.
Q: Will Eve interact with my LinkedIn profile or post content on my behalf? A: No. Eve only sends connection requests, direct messages, and InMails as part of your configured campaigns. It does not post to your feed, comment on posts, endorse skills, join groups, or perform any other LinkedIn activities. Your profile remains under your complete control outside of campaign messaging.
Q: What happens if someone doesn't accept my connection request? A: If someone doesn't accept your connection request and the next step in your sequence is a LinkedIn message, Eve will wait up to 4 days, checking daily to see if the request was accepted. If they accept during this time, the message will be sent. If they don't accept within 4 days, Eve will skip that LinkedIn message step and proceed to the next step in your sequence (typically an email). If they accept the connection request after day 4, the previously skipped message will be sent at that time.
Q: Can I disconnect my LinkedIn account if I change my mind? A: Yes, you can disconnect your LinkedIn account at any time through the Integrations page. Click the three dots or settings icon next to your connected LinkedIn account and select "Disconnect." Be aware that any active campaigns using that LinkedIn account will be paused until you reconnect or assign a different LinkedIn account.
Q: What if my LinkedIn account gets restricted or I receive a warning? A: If LinkedIn restricts your account or sends a warning, immediately:
Pause all campaigns using that LinkedIn account
Resolve the issue with LinkedIn support
Review what might have triggered the restriction (too high volume, too generic messages, rapid requests)
Once resolved, restart campaigns with more conservative limits (reduce by 50%)
Increase gradually only after 2-3 weeks of successful sending
This is why we strongly recommend starting with default limits and only increasing gradually based on your LinkedIn subscription tier and account performance.
Q: How does Eve handle connection request personalization? A: Eve generates personalized connection request messages based on your GTM AI Profile, the prospect's role, their company, and any relevant intent signals. Connection requests are limited to 300 characters by LinkedIn, so Eve creates concise, relevant messages designed to maximize acceptance rates. The AI considers the specific pain points and value propositions most relevant to each prospect.
Q: Will my LinkedIn connections know I'm using automation? A: When properly configured with a strong GTM AI Profile, Eve's messages are personalized and contextual, making them appear natural and genuine. Messages reference specific details about the prospect's company, role, and challenges, which distinguishes them from generic automation. However, if your GTM profile is poorly configured or generic, messages may feel automated. Quality of personalization depends heavily on your profile setup.
Q: Can I review messages before Eve sends them from my LinkedIn account? A: Messages are generated when you create your campaign, and you can review and edit all messages in the campaign builder before launching. Once you launch the campaign, messages send automatically according to your sequence and schedule. If you want to review each individual message before it goes out, you would need to manually send rather than using automation.
Q: What happens if I manually send LinkedIn messages while Eve is also sending through campaigns? A: You can manually send LinkedIn messages independently of Eve's campaigns. However, be mindful of your total daily volume across both manual and automated sending. If you manually send 15 messages and Eve sends 30 through campaigns, you've sent 45 total—which is fine. Just ensure your combined volume doesn't become excessive and trigger LinkedIn's attention. Eve's limits apply only to automated campaign sends, not your manual activity.
